Winged Hussar Xin Zhao release confirmed!

My fellow conspirators!

I stalked the forums for some time, and I bring good and bad news concerning our long awaited WHXZ! So, the good thing is - it has been confirmed to be released along with the Polish client version. And obviously, the bad news is that we don't know when it is coming out, however there are several traces it won't take long. For example the PVP.net option to switch to Polish, Riot's responses in the forums etcetera. I'll post an undercover thread and ask when is the Polish client coming out, for the sake of my readers!

If somebody doesn't get the connection between Poland and Winged Hussars, do those tasks in the given order:

1) be ashamed of yourself
2) play this song while executing the third task
3) check this link

Stay tuned as I will bring more info!

My EU East impressions

Hey guys!

I wanted to share my opinion on the EU East server. So basically, the forums are flooded with posts a.k.a. "fuck russians", "Another losing streak" etc. When I look up the people's ingame profiles though, I can only laugh. Most
guys whining about noob teams often have losses with scores such as 1/10 with Jax or 0/8 with Teemo. And they're surprised they lost? I mean, look at this picture.

I looked up every single player's profiles, they all had at least 2-3 such scores. Basically the community is hating on a community that doesn't exist and actually is itself, speaking of all those nationalism hate posts. Yes, from time to time you get a polish / russian / greek duo, however only once it happened to me they refused to speak english, or at least communicate in some way. My match history is full of victories with amazing scores, and I can safely say, yes, the overall player's level has decreased, however that doesn't mean that good players can't carry the games. I even had one game with a 0/5 Mundo who left at cca 25 minutes, we won that game anyway (the 18/3 Irelia game). It took like 76 minutes, and was extremely close and extremely enjoyable.

My conclusion is that good players will have fun in EU East and that the games are carryable, just play the champions you are confident with more often, the % of good players has somehow decreased. I have a balanced W/L ratio, I am at almost 500 wins atm, so I'm sure the people with a higher W/L ratio have fine games. And those who are lower? Well, your fault you fell there in the first place. I am moving to west anyway because of my clan being there, however I fully enjoy the games here. Reminds me of ranked somehow, lol. And if anyone was asking, I'm Czech ;)

Alright, thanks for reading! See you soon. I'm also planning to turn this blog a bit less LoL oriented soon, so you have what to look forwards to!

New Kayle champion spotlight!

So, what's going on here?

Kayle's upcoming changes have been announced fairly a long time ago, so here it is. The main person who took part in changing her was Shurelia, as she even created in-client chatrooms to discuss possible changes for Kayle with the players. The most dramatic change that has been done to her, or as I feel it, is her new passive. Her old one was that 30% of her AD is turned into AP and 15% of her AP is turned into AD. The new one however shreds some of the enemy's armor and magic resistance on hit. A lot of people have been complaining about the complete remake, however I generally feel that the change isn't that large. The effect is basically the same, you deal more damage to the enemy (shortenly said), however with the new passive you can help your team more in fights and ganks by decreasing the target's defenses. I think it is an interesting passive.

Her Q is only buffed, the projectile speed is increased along with the slow %, definately good. She now also deals bonus damage to the target hit, perhaps making DFG a viable choice?

Her W has been been changed a bit too, instead of a fairly long movement speed increase it now is rather a burst haste, having it's duration lowered but % of speed given increased. It will also have increased costs and cooldown. This is basically to prevent her staying in lane for too long, since a farmed lategame Kayle is just roargh, I'll talk about that later.

Her E is basically the same when talking about concept; her autoattacks are ranged for a duration and deal magic damage + a % of her AP, whose ratio has been decreased. Phreak also basically says that "...on the other side, we are DECREASING the cooldown and AP ratio". He supposedly meant that it will have a longer cooldown, but if you look at some of the teamfights, you see the E's duration is same as the cooldown, given the fact he has Nashor's tooth and 15% CDR from runes and masteries, resulting in 40% cooldown reduction. This saddens me, because Kayle is incredibly relying on E being constantly up, I really hoped the cooldown will be decreased.

Her ultimate is staying unchanged, it still shields an ally from all damage for a few seconds.

To conclude it: I think Riot did a pretty good job, basically the whole point of the remake is to help her early game, which is terrible, and make her weaker lategame, which if played decently, Kayle can just rape anything anywhere. I used to play her for some time and I think that she was a really good champion and the remake might not have been that neccesary, the only problem was that in order to be good lategame she needed to be farmed and fed early-mid. Riot is basically putting this away, because they generally want to make the game as easy as possible. I read on redtracker that soon the Q farming of Nasus and Veigar is to be removed, as it is an "archaic mechanic that is extremely hard to utilize" (guess who posted it, yes, NSMT!), however the thing is that Riot propably don't get that people who play those champions LIKE the mechanic as it adds over 9000 levels of uniqueness to the champion, me being one of them as Nasus is one of my favourite champions. It gives them a certain, rewarding playstyle, as Kayle's used to be. I don't really like where things are going.

Anyway, I think it is an interesting change of things in the League and I hope Kayle will be a more picked champion now! To the pesimistically at-Kayle looking people: remember the latest GP "remake"? And where is he now? :)

See you guys, sorry for being inactive. I'm such a lazy person.

Lee Sin, the Blind Monk spotlight

Hey all!
Today, the spotlight for Lee Sin the Blind Monk has came out. I Am reaally unsure about this, but the video itself is quite funny. I don't think he will be that strong, but actually the idea of the blurry screen is quite interesting, but I'd make it more clear, as you really can't se anything :D

We'll see how this turns out.

Have a great day!

Video channels

Good evening my readers!

I only wanted to point out the Youtube channels to your right. One of them is
Stonewall008's, who is a very famous maker of LoL jungling guides and vids. I have learned many things from his channel, you can check it out too, if you're interested.

The second video channel is LegendCommentaries, led by Stephen. He makes videos about gameplays of champions. He has a lot of them and adds new ones frequently, make sure you check them out! He points out the +s and -s of each champion, shows how he plays him and usually has lots of funny comments on the gameplay.

I hope you find those two interesting! If you feel like I should add some new ones, feel free to send me a message or leave a comment.

Thanks for reading.

Patch preview review 1.0.0.114

My dear readers!
I apologize for not updating the blog for some time, I had too much school to do. I decided not to talk about the recent patches, as there's been a lot going on.

So, to the patch preview!

"For this patch, we’re mainly focusing on bug fixes, as well as some more buffs to several champions. The reason we went for this focus was to prepare for the upcoming patch, in which we’re preparing some interesting solutions to damage-vs-defense, counters to tank-stacked teams, and other larger balance changes. We added an extra maximum Yordle Snap Trap to Caitlyn, which will improve her team utility presence, along with an attack speed boost to give her a little more ability to scale into late-game damage. Garen’s movement speed was increased to 320, and gave a massive early game increase to the damage reduction on Courage. This ability needs to be more reliable in the laning phase to allow Garen to close and be effective. Doubling the rank 1 value should be a big help in this regard. Galio’s ultimate has had it range increased by 50, to give it some additional value in more spread out fights. We plan to continue adjusting Galio. Finally, we’ve changed towers to protect better against unattended minion waves, but less against coordinated pushes. We wanted to avoid lengthening game times, but at the same time want to make it so leaving minion waves unattended isn’t quite so punishing. This change aims to accomplish that."

Well well! A counter to beefy teams? Me gusta! I know people say "omg get bloodrazor nub" or "dfg ffs", but hey, building it every game is not cool. When every enemy has over 3.5k health HP it is very, very annoying and i'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about. When I think about it, what would be actually a good counter to tanky teams? More % of HP damage items? That would be cool. I always find the introduction of new items exciting!

Caitlyn and Galio buffs - I'm sure the additional trap is a great thing, she needed a little buff in my opinion. And Galio buff? Great! He is veeery underpowered in my opinion, though being a great asset to AoE teams, which I haven't seen many lately though.

Garen buff. I'm not sure about this, I haven't seen a spin2winner in ages. Perhaps this buff will make him more popular, why not? :)

Turrets vs. minion waves - that's an interesting thing. I always liked seeing a big green mass on the minimap, and red ones? Tasty farming. We'll see how this comes out. I just hope we don't get an anti-backdooring mechanism next patch (I fell in love with Master Yi, haha).

Bug fixes are always good, I'm still waiting if Pantheon's Aegis jump over obstacles is going to get fixed any soon.

Stay tuned in! I'll surely post many more of my opinions, of course as long as you care :-)
Have a nice Sunday!

Patch preview review

- Doran items nerf
- Rammus changes
- Renekton buffed
- manaregen remade
- earlygame health regen nerf (?)
- RUNES NERF?!

Well, I suppose you have noticed my opinion about this patch. To me it seems that they simply don't know what to change more, so they do these... things.

First of all, Doran items nerf; I don't really understand this! They were good, yes, but anyone could get them. Their strength was in the fact they offer so much for so few. So now they cost more so people can't get a pot along. Not happy.

Next thing is Rammus - what will happen wasn't specified, but I expect nerfs. Over this week he became a small FotM, so another nerf wouln't really surprise me. I expected a Vladimir nerf instead, as he was in every single game this week and people whined about him a lot. The thing that saddens me is that Riot once said that Rammus is the perfect example of a balanced champion - well, why are you nerfing him? Because some low levels don't know how to counter him? :(

Renenkton buff is alright, I didn't see many players that would be actually gamechanging, most seemed that they didn't get a hang on him yet, which is perfectly understandable.

Next what we have here is the remaking of manareg. Every champion will have decreased mana regeneration - why? LoL is even officially called "more active", because mana is much easier to obtain and manage than in DotA. I am not comparing those, but I feel this will drastically change early games to simple autoattack fights, people will fear they won't have much mana in possible ganks. NOT happy!

And the best thing! Rune nerf!
What the fuck? So we save for them for AGES (yes, these health quints ARE quite expensive!), and they nerf them, because there was too much difference between level 1 and 30 players? That's the point! We save for them, we get results!

Sigh.
I am not happy :(

Karma, the Enlightened One pre-release review

Hello my friends!
Yesterday evening Zenon posted the classic "A new champion approaches" thread. So, let's take a look at what Karma can do! (yes, I copied the abilities).

Inner Flame (Passive): Karma gains increased Ability Power corresponding to her missing Health.

The passive is similar to Olaf's one, except she gets additional AP. I am not sure if is this going to synergize well with her, as she is a support, which usually don't try to fight at low health. It surely gives many options in the gameplay, so I don't want to throw it into the oblivion and find out it is great afterwards. Has happen before! (pun intended)

_____________________________________________________________

Heavenly Wave: Karma sends forth a wave of hidden blades from her fans, dealing magic damage to units in a cone in front of her.

  • Mantra Bonus: In addition to dealing damage to enemies, Heavenly Wave will also heal allies in the cone. The amount healed is amplified depending upon the amount of life Karma, or her allies are missing

Well, I think this is fairly straightforward. About the healing, I think it will matter which will heal more, that one will trigger. So if Karma doesn't have much hitpoints, the heal will be based on the health missing of her allies. Sounds very interesting, especially during teamfights. The cone propably won't be very big, so it will most likely help melee DPS like Xin, Olaf when smashing somebody.

_____________________________________________________________
Spirit Bond:
Karma bonds an ally or enemy creating a beam between them. Bonded allies have increased movement speed and bonded enemies have reduced movement speed. Enemy units that come in contact with the beam take magic damage, and champions who pass through the beam receive the same movement speed modifier as bonded champions.
  • Mantra Bonus: Karma strengthens the bond to double the effect of the movement speed modifier.

This is by far the most interesting skill from Karma's arsenal, in my opinion. It is something between Zilean's Time Warp, LeBlanc's Ethereal Chains and Guardian Wisp's Tether (from DotA, some info can be found at http://www.dota-utilities.com/2010/07/io-wisp-strategy-guide-dota-io-wisp.html). I think that when combined with good teamwork with the other player it can turn teamfights, help catching these 100hp Miss Fortunes running away from a skirmish in the forest, prepare traps (how about bonding a friend to yourself and run at an enemy to hit him with the bond?) and help in ganks. It would be also good if it is possible to bond yourself to a minion, so that you dont have to rely on people to use it effectively. So, a good trap.

_____________________________________________________________
Soul Shield:
Karma summons a protective shield that absorbs incoming damage.
  • Mantra Bonus: In addition to the shield, energy radiates out from the shield, dealing damage to enemy units around the recipient.

I think Riot could have made this a bit more original, as there isn't anything really interesting about it. At least you can put it on allies, maybe even turrets, like Janna? That would be good!

_____________________________________________________________
Mantra (Ultimate):
Karma empowers her next ability to do an additional effect. Mantra is available at level 1 and does not require a skill point.

I think everybody understands this, it is a bit similar to Renekton's fury (using abilities when having enough fury give bonus effects to them). Though I am not really sure about the leveling - does she have it from the beggining, and can upgrade it on levels 6, 11 and 16? Propably. Though I think it will just decrease the cooldown, like Twisted Fate's ultimate. There isn't anything really changable about it. Or, her abilites might have 6 ranks, that is also possible. She will be very dependant on the cooldown duration of the ultimate.

Also, I personally haven't noticed if she is melee or ranged! Personally I hope ranged, because a melee support would be in a very bad situation and would get focused down very fast. Yes, she will be ranged. Melee support is bad, bad.

Overally she has impressed me, and I am looking forward to playing her. She will need an AP build for sure, AD is not a way to go.

Have a nice day

Vandal Vlad, Lumberjack Sion... Winged Hussar Xin Zhao?

Hello, my friends! Today I bring you a fairly older thing, however I want to show you my conspiration theory; as you all propably know, on monday, Lumberjack Sion and Vandal Vlad skins came out. However, there is also another skin, not yet released. Winged Hussar Xin Zhao. I made a post about it on the official forums, and surprisingly, Ymir responded. He said he never heard about that skin. What? My guess was was that he was just Trundling me. It will come out for sure, it is already as a preview. The only question is, when will it come out, and what is it going to be like? It actually could be a legendary skin I think. I don't really expect him to have a horse, as it would be kinda weird if somebody was riding a horse and running around the Summoner's rift.

The thread can be found here: http://eu.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=107135&page=2

Karma, the Enlightened One Sneak Peek!

Karma, the Enlightened One

So, the time has come for Riot to post a Sneak Peek of a new champion. This one is female and I can't say it would be something unexpected, as there still are still many more male champions than female ones.

Though it wasn't stated what her role will be, I think it is faily obvious that she is going to be a melee DPS, since she uses fans as her weapons. Althought I would like to see more tanks as new champions, Ezreal, one of the champion designers even stated that a "female tank" is in the making. When Riot side-mentioned that the new champion is going to be a woman, I got really pumped. However, Karma seems interesting anyway. I like that the Ionian champions are quite different from others, as they look very oriental-ish, or if not that, differently. Take Irelia for example. Or Master Yi's Ionian skin. You can clearly see some similarities.

I am interested how is she going to turn out. The concept looks good, I really hope she won't get changed in the last minute like Irelia. She looked really great, and well, you know yourself how it ended.

Tl;dr: I was expecting a tank, however Karma looks good too. Let's see.

Welcome to my blog!

Welcome!
this is my first post on the blog, I will surely add more through time, as long as you are interested! My school exams just finished, so I should have enough time to post often.

Have a nice day!
